Our Core Strategy
The "Rental Income" Plan for the Stock Market
Think about how a landlord makes money. They buy a good house in a good neighborhood and rent it out. Every month, they collect a rent check. As long as the house is occupied, they get paid. Our strategy works in a very similar way.
How We "Rent Out" the Market
Our simple, repeatable, three-step process for generating monthly income.
Step 1: Choose a "Fair Rent" Price
We choose a conservative "discount" price below the current market price where we would be genuinely happy to own the asset (SPY or GLD). This is our pre-defined safety net.
Step 2: Sell an "Option to Buy"
We sell a contract (a Put Option) to another investor, giving them the right to sell us the asset at our chosen discount price. This is our "lease agreement."
Step 3: Collect Cash Immediately
For selling this contract, we are paid cash upfront. This is our "rent check" for the month. This premium is ours to keep, no matter what happens next.
The Two Simple Outcomes (Both Are Good for Us)
Once we've collected our cash, only one of two things can happen.
This happens most of the time.
- The market price stays above our discount price.
- The contract we sold expires worthless.
- Result: We keep 100% of the cash as pure profit and repeat the process next month.
This happens sometimes.
- The market price temporarily drops below our discount price.
- We buy the asset at the pre-agreed discount price.
- Result: We get paid to buy a great asset on sale, and can now collect "rent" on it in a different way.
Why This Strategy Fits Our Goal
This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It is a disciplined, business-like approach to building wealth.
Generates Monthly Cash Flow
Like clockwork, this process is designed to produce a steady stream of income that can be paid out or reinvested to compound our collective wealth.
Puts Time on Our Side
Every day that passes, the contracts we sell lose a little value (time decay), which is a direct benefit to us as the seller. We get paid to be patient.
It’s Disciplined and Emotion-Free
It forces us to be value-conscious and patient by setting our prices in advance. This removes the emotion and guesswork of trying to predict the market's every move.
